Every fan boy website this morning will no doubt be celebrating the fact they got it right – Shia LaBeouf IS in the fourth “Indiana Jones” film after all.
In a press release on the official site, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have officially announced that the “Disturbia” and “Transformers” star has joined the project.
“We are excited about bringing Shia into our Indy family,” said Spielberg. “His talent has impressed not only his audiences throughout his young career but the directors, producers and fellow actors who have worked with him in his television career and now his film career.”
LaBeouf was first linked a few weeks back, but denied the rumours in subsequent interviews – claiming that nothing was happening as far as he was aware. In a quote on the release he says “I was hoping the rumors were true, so I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
