NBA player Kyrie Irving will both star in and executive produce an untitled horror movie currently set up at Imagine Entertainment.
The story deals with Oklahoma’s Skirvin Hotel, opened in 1911, that has a reputation of being haunted. The hotel is frequented by travelling NBA teams, but some players refuse to stay there because of its reputation.
The hauntings are said to have started in the 1930s after the hotel’s owner had an affair with a chambermaid which led to the latter’s death.
Brian Grazer and Bobby Cohen will produce. Irving played for six years with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is currently in his second season with the Boston Celtics, and recently starred in the sports comedy “Uncle Drew”.
