Krang Confirmed For “Ninja Turtles” Sequel

Michael Bay has confirmed to Rolling Stone that Krang, the tentacled sarcastic talking brain in a robot body from Dimension X, will serve as the main villain in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” sequel.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” sees the inclusion of multiple characters from the original animated series and comic that weren’t incorporated into the first film including Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly).

The trade was in attendance for a video call between Bay and ILM VFX supervisor Pablo Helman which dealt with the topic of the “disembodied brain inside a giant robot”. It appears Krang’s two tentacles, effectively his arms, have been eliminated for the film with Bay saying: “He could have some tentacles. I just don’t want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus.”

The first film pulled in $493.3 million worldwide from a $125 million budget. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” opens June 3rd.
