While his upcoming “Tron: Legacy” is more a sequel than a reboot of its original early 80’s counterpart, director Joseph Kosinski tells MTV News that his new take on 1979’s “The Black Hole” will definitely be a ‘reboot’.
“It won’t be a sequel like Tron. This one will be a reimagining. For me, it would be taking ideas and iconic elements that struck me as timeless and cool and preserving them while weaving a new story around them that’s a little more 2001” said Kosinski who is helming the new take which will “embrace it [the concept] in a hard science way”.
The film is still a while off though as Kosinski and scribe Travis Beacham are “getting started on the script in the next few months”.
