So far Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary have done some excellent work with the promotional campaign for “Kong: Skull Island”. Last week’s “Apocalypse Now”-inspired artwork was a great piece of work, but today the official Japanese poster art appears to have topped that.
The director Jordan Vogt-Roberts unveiled the Japanese poster for his film and it has been met with great reaction so far, making it an early frontrunner for the greatest movie poster of 2017.
Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly star in the 1970s-set film about a group of scientists and soldiers who discover a giant ape-sized mystery on a a newly discovered South Pacific island. “Kong: Skull Island” opens March 10th.
