Knightley, Paltrow, Hopkins Join Lear

Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins will star in a new $35 million film adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy “King Lear” says UPI.

“Lear” follows an aging monarch (Hopkins) who decides to divide his kingdom between his three daughters, based on how well they declare their love for him.

Knightley play Cordelia, the youngest daughter of the King. Paltrow is tipped to take the role of Regan, Lear’s treacherous middle daughter.

His eldest daughter, Goneril, is yet to be cast. The film will feature epic battle sequences according to the filmmakers and will begin shooting later this year.
