Kline, Black, Carrell In Kaufman’s “Frank”

Kevin Kline, Jack Black and Steve Carell have joined while Nicolas Cage is also attached to Charlie Kaufman’s new film “Frank or Francis” at Sony Pictures says Variety.

The story is described as a Hollywood-skewering satire about the online war between a successful but pretentious filmmaker (Steve Carell) who cheats on his wife and is in an online feud with a self-aggrandising blogger (Jack Black).

Kline will play Richard Waller, brother of fictional filmmaker Jonathan Waller whose disaster film “Hiroshima” is the biggest grossing movie of all time.

Kline will also play an animatronic head of Richard which is loaded with advanced screenwriting techniques which his brother uses to make successful bland movies.

Cage will play a famed actor known for commercially successful features like the comedy “Fat Dad”. Anthony Bregman is producing and shooting is slated to kick off in January.
