Klattenhoff Joins Del Toro’s “Pacific Rim”

Diego Klattenhoff (TV’s “Homeland”) has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s epic actioner “Pacific Rim” at Warner Bros. Pictures reports Variety.

Set in 2025, the 12th year of a war against alien creatures who reside in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the story finds a group of humans banding together to create and pilot massive robots to fight the creatures threatening to destroy Earth. Travis Beacham penned the script.

Klattenhoff’s role is being kept under wraps, though he will appear in the opening scene. Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Willem Dafoe, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky and Clifton Collins Jr. also star.
