Activision have announced that “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington is set to be featured in the upcoming game title “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” which is scheduled for release November 4th.
Harington portrays the face of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front, in the Infinity Ward-produced title and the company has released a short video of Harington working on a mocap stage to capture his performance with the help of director Guy Ritchie who was brought in for Harington’s scenes.
Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl says: “Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington’s character to life in Infinite Warfare. It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public. We’re committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast.”
For seven consecutive years “Call of Duty” has been the top video game franchise in North America, but the trailer for this latest entry has been met with a much colder than usual reception – becoming the second most disliked video in YouTube history.
