Former “Game of Thrones” and “Pompeii” star Kit Harington is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadline reports that Harington is joining an upcoming Marvel Studios feature film, one of the “superhero franchises,” and it will be his next film. Which film and what role though is unclear.
Marvel and Disney are all currently busy with the D23 Expo this weekend in Anaheim and it’s expected more details will be announced within the next day or two. “Eternals” and “Shang Chi” are the two films that are next slated to film for the company, with the former including Harington’s old ‘Thrones’ co-star Richard Madden.
The news comes as a large banner at the expo has been spotted that includes not just familiar characters but also Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher character for the “What If…” TV series and a Celestial who will likely appear in the upcoming “Eternals” film.
