Kingsman Star Won’t Join Next “X-Men”

One recent rumor has been shot down by a young and upcoming actor.

Taron Egerton, who plays the lead role in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” was rumored to be one of around half a dozen potential candidates for the role of a young Cyclops in Bryan Singer’s upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse”.

In a new interview with MTV UK to promote ‘Kingsman,’ Egerton says while he is a fan of the “X-Men” franchise, he can definitively say he’s not doing the film.

Asked what superhero he would love to play, he says Spider-Man is his hands down favorite but admits he doesn’t think he should play it as he’s very happy with Andrew Garfield in the role.

Speaking of the film, actor Oscar Isaac tells Yahoo that his Apocalypse costume will be a mix of practical and digital: “I haven’t had a script so I haven’t had a chance to look through the script and see what the exact requirements are, but I think it’ll be a mixture of physical, aided with some robotic technology.”
