Early tracking figures are in for Matthew Vaughn’s comedic spy sequel “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” with early estimates indicating the film will open in the $40-45 million range when it opens September 22nd.
That would put it ahead of the $36.2 million domestic opening of “Kingsman: The Secret Service” in early 2015, that film went on to earn $414.4 million globally.
The story follows the Kingsmen as they head to Kentucky after their U.K. headquarters is destroyed. They must seek help from some U.S. counterparts (the Statesmen), who also have a still-alive Harry (Colin Firth).
Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal and Jeff Bridges co-star in the film which will open opposite Warner Bros. Animation’s “Ninjago”.
