Following on from its rousing success earlier this year with a whopping $413 million worldwide haul, a follow-up to Matthew Vaughn’s film adaptation of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ spy-themed comic “Kingsman: The Secret Service” seemed inevitable.
The project was then confirmed and Vaughn, though not yet locked, has been considering directing it himself. We also know that filming on the project is slated to begin in April and will bring back Taron Egerton’s Eggsy for another round of spy work.
Today, BoxOffice.com reports that the film has already scored a release date – June 16th 2017. It currently has competition from only one other title which is Disney and Pixar’s “Cars 3”.
