Kimberly Peirce To Direct “Friend Like Harry”

Kimberly Peirce (“Stop Loss,” “Boys Don’t Cry”) is set to direct a remake of the 2000 French psychological thriller “With A Friend Like Harry” for Maven Pictures says Deadline.

The story centers on a family man, Michel, who is joined on vacation by an old schoolmate, Harry, whom he doesn’t remember.

At first Harry seems to be just what the family needs, but the friendlier he gets the more mysteriously menacing his effects become. Wentworth Miller is adapting the script.

Trudie Styler, Celine Rattray and Michelle Krumm will produce. Peirce is currently directing the remake of “Carrie”.
