Killing Stars Join “Safe House,” “World War Z”

Two stars of AMC’s recently launched serial mystery drama hit “The Killing” have signed on for film roles reports Heat Vision.

Mireille Enos, who plays detective Sarah Linden, is set to play Brad Pitt’s wife in “World War Z” at Paramount Pictures. Marc Forster directs this adaptation of Max Brooks’ novel set ten years after a global zombie epidemic.

Brad Pitt is playing a U.N. worker collecting testimonials from various people around the world about the events of the war. Enos would play his wife, a mother of two girls. Shooting kicks off in June in London and Malta.

Meanwhile Joel Kinnaman, who plays former undercover cop Stephen Holder, has scored a part in the thriller “Safe House”.

Kinnaman will play the key role of a man who operates the titular CIA safe house which comes under attack. The only surviving agent (Ryan Reynolds) must then transport a lethal prisoner (Denzel Washington) to another destination before the attackers kill them both.

Shooting on the film is currently underway in South Africa.
