Kevin James Turns Villain In Becky

Comedy star Kevin James (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “The King of Queens”) is changing things up, joining Yale Productions and BoulderLight Pictures’ action thriller “Becky” in which he is set to play the villain.

Lulu Wilson (“Annabelle: Creation,” “The Haunting of Hill House”) plays rebellious 14-year-old Becky who is on a weekend getaway at a lake house with her father in an effort to try to reconnect after her mother’s death.

The trip takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (James), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky decides to take matters into her own hands.

James replaces Simon Pegg who had been attached to the villain role but had to exit due to a scheduling conflict. “Bushwick” helmers Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion direct from a script by Nick Morris, Ruckus Skye and Lane Skye.

Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Russ Posternak are producing.
