Kendrick Lamar Curating “Panther” Soundtrack

Marvel Studios has announced that seven time Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar, along with Billboard Magazine’s Executive of the Year Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, are teaming to curate and produce the Marvel Studios tie-in LP “Black Panther: The Album”.

The release will include music from and inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” film led by Lamar and SZA’s “All The Stars” which you can listen to below.

Lamar and Tiffith will collaborate with director Ryan Coogler directly in the creation of music specific to the needs of the film, the first time that Lamar will write, produce, perform and curate for a major motion picture.

Additionally this marks the first time a Marvel Studios film will integrate multiple original recordings created specifically for the film.

There’s also a new featurette out about the film’s action below. “Black Panther” opens everywhere on February 16th.
