Gil Kenan (“Monster House,” “Poltergeist”) has been hired to direct “Five Nights At Freddy’s,” a live-action feature film adaptation of the popular video game series.
Set in a Chuck-E-Cheese-like eatery during the night, you play a security guard who uses security camera feeds to keep an eye out for the animatronic animals which become murderers at night and will kill you.
The game has become an online sensation, not just in terms of play but watching others play it and getting scared silly. It has also spawned three sequels.
Kenan will write the script with Tyler Burton Smith while Roy Lee and Seth Grahame-Smith are producing.
