Out doing press for the romantic thriller “Siberia,” actor Keanu Reeves has spoken about the third film in the “John Wick” series which he is in the midst of production on.
First up, he confirms to Coming Soon that the film’s title will be “John Wick 3: Parabellum” and confirms the subtitle, latin for ‘Prepare for War’, comes from the famed line “Si vis pacem, para bellum” (“If you want peace, prepare for war”). He also discussed how he interacts with Halle Berry’s character:
“Each film is very different but in the same kind of world and take… John Wick is fighting for his life and thinks that Halle Berry’s character has some information for him. They have a past, and they get involved with The High Table, this kind of overlording entity (laughs)”
Ian McShane, Common, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, and Ruby Rose are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel with Hiroyuki Sanada as the villain and the likes of Angelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, Jason Mantzoukas, Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, and Tiger Hu Chen in supporting roles.
“John Wick 3: Parabellum” is set to hit cinemas on May 17th 2019.
