SNL alum Kate McKinnon (“Ghostbusters,” “The Spy Who Dumped Me”) is the latest to join Annapurna’s untitled film about the firing of former Fox News chief Roger Ailes and the toxic male culture at the network.
John Lithgow stars as Ailes in the film with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie and Allison Janney starring as the women who were key to his downfall.
McKinnon will play a producer in the movie, her highest profile non-comedic role to date, and a role not based on a real person. Other key roles like Bill Shine, Greta Van Sustenen and James and Lachlan Murdoch have yet to be cast.
Jay Roach helms the film which will shoot later this year.
