Actress Kate Mara has revealed that despite starring in the movie, she has yet to see the recent “Fantastic Four” reboot.
The former “House of Cards” actress revealed to The Times (via The NZ Herald) that the highly negative reviews have made her feel “a little gun-shy” about seeing the film.
The fallout from the film has focused on reports of studio meddling and director Josh Trank’s behaviour both on-set and on social media at the time of release when he effectively disowned the film. Mara calls Trank’s comments on Twitter “highly disappointing”.
Even so, the very professional Mara revealed that she still had fun working on the film mostly due to the bonds made between herself and fellow cast members:
“It was a tricky shoot. But you know… when you know when you’re shooting it that a film isn’t going to be what you want it to be (sic)? That was not the case at all… [We] really had each other’s backs… That makes me most bummed because we have no idea if we’ll ever make another one.”
The film’s worldwide gross so far has been a total of $156 million.
