“The Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco and her production company have signed an expansive new agreement with Warner Bros. TV Group.
As part of the deal, it includes a series pickup by of thriller drama series “The Flight Attendant” starring and executive produced by Cuoco. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will also executive produce.
Based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel, Steve Yockey (“Supernatural”) is adapting the script and filming begins this Fall. The story follows Cassandra Bowden, a binge drinking stewardess who awakens in a Dubai hotel room next to a man’s dead body and tries to piece the previous night back together.
The project will premiere as part of WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service. Cuoco will also be heard in the upcoming animated “Harley Quinn” series on DC Universe.
Cuoco’s deal also includes a talent holding provision for Cuoco’s acting services beyond the show and Warner Bros. TV is committing to develop new series projects, including multi-camera and single-camera half-hour comedies and hourlong dramedies, with plans for her to star.
