Justin Marks Rewrites “20,000 Leagues”

Justin Marks (“Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li,” “Voltron”) has been brought in to rewrite Bill Marsilii’s draft script for Disney’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo” says The Hollywood Reporter.

McG (“Terminator: Salvation”) remains attached to direct the big-budget underwater adventure which Sean Bailey is producing.

Based on the 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” which was an adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic novel, Marks has been hired as a “world builder” to fill out the deep-sea universe.

Marks has been given just four weeks to work with craft designers to expand the film’s world to the scale of a tentpole action epic.
