In the wake of a DC and Marvel official announcement, Badass Digest seems to be making a habit of following it up a few hours later with some more details of their own.
On Wednesday morning U.S. time, Warner Bros. Pictures used an investor meeting to announce they had finally locked down their long rumored slate of movies based on DC Comics properties. The news spawned a lot of press, even though most of it was already long rumored or reported bar some ordering and one key bit of casting – Ezra Miller as The Flash.
POTENTIAL “JUSTICE LEAGUE” MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
Last week came a report that the end of Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” would include a tease of Brainiac who will serve as the villain for “Justice League Part 1”. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash come together to face the threat of Brainiac who “has manipulated Lex Luthor and maybe even Bruce Wayne”.
Now, Devin at Badass says that the end of Zack Snyder’s “Justice League Part 1” would include a tease of Darkseid who will serve as the villain in Snyder’s “Justice League Part 2”. That tease would also include the first look at the new Green Lantern who arrives and warns the League of the threat of the ruler of Apokolips.
For all the complaints about it, the events of “Man of Steel” will reported play a big part in these sequels. Zod’s corpse is a key component of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” while Superman’s Kryptonian beacon will play a big part in how the intergalactic villains of the two “Justice League” films target Earth.
“Justice League Part 1” hits November 11th 2017, “Justice League Part 2” hits June 14th 2019.
