Colin Trevorrow’s frequent writing partner and “Jurassic World” co-scribe Derek Connolly has been brought onboard Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ upcoming “Kong: Skull Island” at Legendary and Universal Pictures.
Connolly will do some late minute work on the script ahead of the film’s production which is slated to begin shooting in late October in Hawaii, Iceland and Vietnam.
Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins star in the film which sees a team of explorers venture into the mysterious, creature-laden island which is home of the king of the apes.
Max Borenstein (“Godzilla”), John Gatins (“Flight”) and Dan Gilroy (“Nightcrawler”) all previously took a crack at the script. The film is currently targeting a March 10th 2017 release.
