Universal Studios Hollywood has announced they will excavate the fan favorite “Jurassic Park Ride” site in preparation for the 2019 arrival of a brand new “Jurassic World” ride, inspired by the film franchise. “Jurassic Park – The Ride” will officially shutter its doors on September 3rd.
The report comes as Universal has released a brand new featurette for their new film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” revealing more footage from the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard-led dino thriller.
The J.A. Bayona-helmed film sees Pratt and Howard’s characters returning to Isla Nublar to try and rescue the dinosaurs roaming the island from an impending volcanic eruption, including Blue, the last of the raptors he trained.
“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” arrives in theaters on June 22nd.
