Jurassic On Track For Record June Opening

Universal Pictures opened the gates of “Jurassic World” last night and audiences flocked to the action.

The film took in $18.5 million in Thursday night previews, tying with the amount that “The Dark Knight” made back in 2008. It’s the second highest Thursday preview of the year ahead of “Furious 7” with $15.8 million but behind “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” with $27.6 million.

The film looks set for a potential June record, likely beating “Man Of Steel” at $116.6M as early estimates now stand at $115-135 million.
