To celebrate the news that “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” has become the biggest domestic box-office grossing release ever by Sony Pictures, the film’s star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Instagram and confirmed developmental is well-underway on a third one.
He also teased that his co-star Kevin Hart’s character Franklin ‘Mouse’ Finbar will be killed off for good. The first film recently passed the $400 million domestic mark and is nearing $1 billion worldwide.
Speaking of follow-ups, a sequel to the late 1980s Berlin-set spy action thriller “Atomic Blonde” is also seemingly in the works. Charlize Theron confirmed her British agent Lorraine Broughton is coming back saying “we’re working on a sequel” when discussing the movie at the San Francisco Film Festival this past weekend. The film’s director David Leitch had previously indicated interest in further films in the series.
