Julia Stiles Picks Up “The Bell Jar”

Julia Stiles is set to produce and star in “The Bell Jar”, an adaptation of famed poet Sylvia Plath’s posthumously published, autobiographical novel reports The New York Times.

The story follows a gifted young woman’s mental breakdown beginning during a summer internship as a junior editor at a magazine in New York City in the early 1950s.

New York playwright Tristine Skyler will pen the script, Nicole Kassell (“The Woodsman”) will direct and Virginia Madsen will play a therapist.
