Judy Davis Joins “24,” Xbox Plans Originals

Oscar nominee Judy Davis has joined the twelve-episode miniseries “24: Live Another Day” in a recurring capacity. The miniseries premieres in the Spring.

Davis plays Margo, a “fierce” German arms dealer. She joins the cast which includes Kiefer Sutherland, Kim Raver, William Devane and Mary Lynn Rajskub reprising their roles from earlier seasons.

Meanwhile, Xbox Entertainment Studios has picked up its first original show, ordering a documentary series from Oscar winner Simon Chinn and Emmy winner Jonathan Chinn. The untitled series will feature a string of original installments exploring the digital revolution.

The series will debut exclusively on Xbox in 2014 starting with a Zak Penn-directed episode about Atari burying millions of unsold “E.T. the Video Game” copies in a small New Mexico town in 1983. Shooting will begin in January.
