Famed television judge Judy Sheindlin is joining the realm of scripted television with “Her Honor,” a drama series at CBS Television Studios she is developing that is inspired by her own life.
The story will follow the youngest judge in New York, who cuts through the chaos in Family Court, but can’t seem to maintain control of her own life outside the courtroom. “Chicago Justice” showrunner Michael Chernuchin is penning the pilot alongside Sheindlin who is billed as story co-writer.
Both will executive produce alongside Arnold Kopelson and Anne Kopelson. Sheindlin is currently the most profitable star on television, her long-running “Judge Judy” series scoring a new deal which sees her earning more than the $47 million per year which she was already on in her previous deal.
