Action star Dwayne Johnson has confirmed to Comicbook.com that the classic DC superhero team the Justice Society of America will make its big-screen debut in the Johnson-led upcoming film “Black Hero” for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Out doing press for “Jumanji: The Next Level,” Johnson joked with frequent collaborator Kevin Hart when the latter asked if he can be Black Adam’s sidekick. Johnson responded saying: “We’re also gonna introduce JSA in Black Adam. So in JSA maybe there’s a (role)…They have an animal, a pet.”
In the comics, Black Adam was both an enemy and an ally to the JSA who are known as the first-ever team of superheroes to be formed in comic book history.
Jaume Collet-Serra will helm the film which will shoot from July next year ahead of a December 22nd 2021 opening.
