Josh Whitehouse Joins Hbos Thrones Prequel

“Poldark” actor Josh Whitehouse has scored a key role in the upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off series on HBO.

There are no details on the character he’s playing other than it’s a key one, but it is NOT the central male lead. He marks the second bit of casting on the series following yesterday’s news that Naomi Watts will star.

The untitled series takes place thousands of years before the events of ‘Thrones; and will chronicle the end of the Age of Heroes.

Jane Goldman and author George R.R. Martin created the series with Goldman to serve as showrunner. HBO has also denied a recent report suggesting “The Long Night” will be the show’s title, the series is currently untitled even though “The Long Night” is said to be Martin’s personal favourite choice.

Whitehouse will soon be seen in the remake of “Valley Girl” taking on the role Nicolas Cage made famous in the original.
