Former “Spider-Man” candidate Josh Hutcherson has signed on to star in and executive produce the indie teen horror-comedy “Detention” for Variety.
The story centers on teens who must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher-movie killer who has seemingly come to life. Dane Cook also stars.
Kahn and Mark Palermo penned the script. Joseph Kahn (“Torque”) will direct the project and is producing alongside Richard Weager, Maryann Tanedo and David Kang.
