“Black Panther” co-writer Joe Robert Cole and actor Michael B. Jordan (“Creed II,” “Fahrenheit 451”) are teaming up for a film adaptation of the Vault Comics graphic novel “Failsafe” for Netflix.
The story follows John Ravane, a legendary insurgent hunter who thought he had executed the last nanotech-enhanced super soldier in a personal battle which saw his daughter kidnapped.
A decade later, sleeper agents scattered around the country are activating and trying to take over New York, while the government leader who pressed him into duty last time has been exposed as corrupt.
Cole will pen the script while Jordan and Alana Mayo will produce through their Outlier Society Productions. Jordan may potentially star but will decide when the script is finished.
