Jolie’s “Sea” Dated, “Cop” Pulled From 2016

Universal Pictures has announced that it will release Angelina Jolie’s new directorial effort “By the Sea” on November 13th 2015 in the United States. International dates have not yet been announced. Set in a seaside resort in 1970s France, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie play a couple whose marriage is in crisis and who, with the help of strangers they meet there, come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.

In other release date news, Paramount Pictures has pushed back its planned Christmas launch of the combination live-action/CGI feature “Monster Trucks” to March 18th 2016. Jane Levy, Lucas Till, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe, Danny Glover, Barry Pepper and Holt McCallany star in the film which will now open against “Allegiant: Part One”.

Next up, the fourth “Beverly Hills Cop” film, which was previously announced for a March 25th 2016 release, has been pulled from the schedule. According to reports, the film remains in development but isn’t moving forward as quickly as Paramount originally envisioned.

Finally, Universal Pictures has announced an October 14th 2016 release date for the concert movie “Kevin Hart: What Now?”. The concert film was shot outdoors in front of 50,000 people at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field.
