Dakota Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Grey”) and Matthias Schoenaerts (“Far From the Madding Crowd”) are set to team up for Darius Marder’s directorial debut “The Sound Of Metal”.
Johnson will play a singer in a band, and Schoenaerts is the drummer. Everything changes when he begins to lose his hearing and has to come to grips with a future that will be filled with silence.
Marder, who co-wrote “The Place Beyond The Pines,” helms from his own script. Michael Costigan and Ben Leclair are producing and shooting plans to begin in August once financing is locked down.
The film is in the process of being set for financing, but the plan is to shoot in August.
