Johnson Says The “Lobo” Movie Is No More?

The film adaptation of the DC Comics alien bounty hunter character Lobo has been hovering around in development for years in one form or another.

Seven months ago, actor Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he and his “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” director Brad Peyton were set to re-team for the project, along with producer Joel Silver. Cut to this month with ‘The Rock’ out promoting “Snitch” and he says the film is no longer:

“It was for a minute, but then it kind of just went away, as things happen in Hollywood. For a minute, I was interested in it, but then it went away.”

Instead, Johnson is busy prepping for Brett Ratner’s upcoming “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” project. He also has a busy publicity tour schedule in the first half of this year with a film set to open on (or near) the last Friday of each month over the next four months – “Snitch” on February 22nd, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” on March 29th, “Pain and Gain” on April 26th and “Fast and Furious 6” on May 24th. He also has “Empire State” due out later this year.
