Filmmaker John Woo’s upcoming World War II drama “Flying Tigers” will be shot as both a double feature and a miniseries.
Announced in Shanghai this week, Cyrte Investments and China Film Group will co-produce the project which will begin shooting early next year.
The film is based on the true story of an American who trained the Chinese to fly fighter planes against Japanese invaders.
Terence Chang will produce the project which will be released in China as a two-part feature. In other international territories, it will be released as a six-hour miniseries.
