Lionsgate has announced a February 10th 2017 release date for the Keanu Reeves-led and freshly titled sction sequel “John Wick: Chapter Two”.
The film will take place at least partly in Rome, but plot specifics are otherwise under wraps beyond Common serving as the film’s villain – the head of security for a female crime lord.
Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Riccardo Scamarcio and Peter Stormare join the cast which also sees returning characters like Winston (Ian McShane), Aurelio (John Leguizamo), Hotel Manager Charon (Lance Reddick), Jimmy (Tom Sadowski) and the deceased wife Helen (Bridget Moynahan).
Chad Stahelski helms the film with Derek Kolstad penning the script and Basil Iwanyk producing. The first film, made for a tight $20 million, made over $86 million and became a hit in the home video market.
