Point Road Prods. has picked up film rights to Irish author John Connolly’s dark fantasy novel “The Book of Lost Things” reports the trades.
Set during World War II, the book follows a 12-year-old boy whose mother dies, father remarries and new stepmother becomes pregnant.
When a portal to another world opens, the boy enters a land of beasts and monsters, where he must undertake a quest to earn his way back out.
John Moore (“Flight of the Phoenix,” “The Omen”) will likely direct the adaptation.
