Producer John Davis (“Chronicle,” “I, Robot”) has picked up feature film remake rights to Aaron Sims’ sci-fi short “Archetype” says Heat Vision.
The original short tells the story of an eight-foot tall combat robot named RL7 that malfunctions during a mission, developing unexplained memories, causing its creators to investigate its odd behaviour.

Sims runs Aaron Sims Co., a firm which specializes in previs and visual effects with their work seen in the likes of “War Horse,” “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” and “The Thing” remake.
