John Boyega Is NOT In “Black Panther”

Speculation about the casting of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor John Boyega in Ryan Coogler’s upcoming Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” reached fever pitch this week.

Boyega’s name was previously suggested as a candidate for the title role until the casting of Chadwick Boseman in the part before “Captain America: Civil War” began filming.

In the past few days though, his name has been coming up again for the film following the casting of such great talents as Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan in supporting roles in the film. Kevin Feige began following the actor on Twitter this week as well which only fuelled speculation.

Despite all the talk though, Boyega’s reps tell Heat Vision that the actor is NOT and WILL NOT be part of the movie. At the same time, Boyega’s agent in the U.K. also took to Twitter to deny the rumor.

Boyega’s not short of work, the actor is currently well in the midst of production on Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: Episode VIII”.
