“Community” star Joel McHale is in talks to take on one of the two lead roles in “Quantum and Woody,” the upcoming TV series adaptation of the Valiant comics title.
The story follows once inseparable and now estranged brothers Eric and Woody Henderson who were once promising and are now both petty rivals and washed-up failures.
When their father’s murder leads them into a life-altering scientific accident, Eric and Woody find themselves with a whole new purpose – and a legitimate reason to wear costumes and fight crime as they become the world’s worst superhero team.
McHale would play Woody, a wisecracking, womanizing slacker who, thanks to that accident, has to make physical contact every 24 hours with his brother or they die.
“Avengers: Infinity War” directors Joe and Anthony Russo will executive produce the project alongside Mike Larocca, Dinesh Shamdasani, and “Ant-Man” writers Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari.
