“The Soup” and “Community” funny man Joel McHale is in final negotiations to join Seth MacFarlane’s comedy “Ted” for Universal Pictures says the trades.
The story revolves around a thirty-something Boston man (Mark Wahlberg) whose childhood teddy bear came to life and is now a cursing, smoking, delinquent that prevents the man from maturing.
Kunis will play Wahlberg’s girlfriend, who wants their relationship to move to the next level and has had enough of the bear.
McHale will play Rex, Kunis’ womanizing boss who constantly hits on her. Adam Scott was previously linked to the role. Giovanni Ribisi was cast earlier this week as an obsessed fan of Ted.
“Family Guy” creator MacFarlane makes his feature directorial debut on the film which co-wrote with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
