Actor Joel Edgerton (“Warrior,” “The Great Gatsby”) is set to make his directorial debut on “Weirdo” which will shoot in California next year.
Rebecca Yeldham will produce the project which Edgerton calls a very “contained film” with just six locations and six characters.
Edgerton says: “it’s about a guy who is forced to face the past when it comes back in the form of an old school friend. But he continually lies about it (the past) and it haunts him in a bad bad way.”
Edgerton confirms he’ll play a supporting role in the film. They’re currently seeking financing for the film in Toronto, though much of it is subject to casting.
