JK Rowling’s “C.B. Strike” Series Sets Date

Cinemax has announced a June 1st premiere date for its mini-series “C.B. Strike” based on the crime novels penned by “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

Tom Burke stars as Cormoran Strike, a war veteran-turned-private detective, who operates out of a tiny office in London. His unique insight and his background as a military police investigator prove crucial in solving three complex cases that have baffled the police.

Holliday Grainger also stars in the series which will launch with three hourlong episodes based on the first book in the trilogy, “The Cuckoo’s Calling,”. Adaptations of the two other books, The Silkworm and Career of Evil, will follow in the form of two one-hour episodes each – seven episodes in all for the series.
