Jim Field Smith (“Missing Moscow,” “Where Have I Been All Your Life?”) has signed on to direct the indie dramedy “Good Luck, Anthony Belcher” Ruby Films says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story centers on a perennially unlucky man (James Corden) whose fortunes abruptly change. George Kay’s script is apparently one of the leading contenders on the UK’s version of the Hollywood Black List (a voted on list of the best unproduced screenplays).
Kay and Smith will produce. Smith is also attached to helm the rural-England drama “All Quiet on the Orient Express”.
