Jetsons, Interpol, Karate Kid 2 Script News

Scribe Van Robichaux and Evan Susser have been hired to rewrite the live-action take on animated classic “The Jetsons” at Warner Bros. Pictures reports Variety.

The project has been in development for numerous years with Adam F. Goldberg being the most recent screenwriter attached.

Meanwhile, Sony Pictures has picked up Jonathan Keasey and Brant Boivin’s comedy pitch “Interpol” for Overbrook Entertainment to produce.

The story follows a group of desk jockey Interpol agents turn over their research to seasoned law enforcement agents who do the actual arresting. The groups are forced to switch roles when a cache of information outs the field officers.

Finally “The Incredible Hulk” scribe Zak Penn has been hired to rewrite the script for “The Karate Kid 2”, replacing “Kung Fu Panda” scribes Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris who penned the early drafts.

It’s expected Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan will reprise their roles, but no deals are in place as of yet.
