Jet Li In “Dragon Inn” Remake

Jet Li and Tsui Hark, who previously teamed on “Once Upon A Time In China”, are set to reunite for a 3D remake of the 1967 martial arts film “Dragon Inn” for Polybona reports The Playlist.

The story follows Chow Wai-On, a Ming Dynasty General whose rivalry with the power-hungry eunuch Tsao Siu-Yan reaches a climax at the deserted Dragon Gate Inn.

Zhou Xun will play Jade, the inn’s seductive owner and possible love interest for Li’s character. No casting has yet taken place for the role of Tsao, though shooting kicks off in September.

Hark wrote and produced a previous remake in 1992 which starred the likes of Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung and Donnie Yen.
